Presidential seats on the bus
Ahh... first class at its best! |
Traveling to and from Tai Zhong (Center of Taiwan), we used
either bus or train. |
| There was a time when trains were the way to travel, I
guess, but if you want to go comfortably... take the bus. |

Our hotel - don't jump Tina! |
Tina's many relatives (3 sets of uncles and aunts plus her
grandma and grandpa) live in Tai Zhong. |

5 star breakfast |

Hmm - this feels like hugging Joe! |
| We stayed at Hotel National Tai Zhong, which was right
across the street from SOGO, the world's largest (it seems) women's clothing department
store. |

Tina with A-ma and A-goon |
Tina's A-jiu A-ma and A-goon (uncle, grandma
and grandpa) took us to see the Aborigines (native Taiwanese). We didn't see any
Aborigines, but we did see their clothes and some crafts. |

RARR ! A-ma showing her teeth |
| One of the great blessings on this trip was
seeing the faith on Tina's mom's side of the family. Almost everywhere we went, A-goon
would pray for our safety and A-ma would strike up a conversation with a stranger, asking
if he/she is Christian or not. |

| Nestled in a town between Tai Zhong and Sun
Moon Lake is a privately owned museum of Entomology (insects). This guy collects and
harvests butterflies from around the world. |

| Most buildings and roads have been repaired
since the 7.7 Richter earthquake that hit Tai Zhong on 9/20/99, but some buildings still
show evidence of the disaster. |

Natural Science Museum |
The Teracotta warriors were on display at Tai Zhong's
natural science museum. |
