1998 was the year of meeting new people and building friendship in the new land of Texas.

Tina came to Texas in January of 1997, and we started going to Asian American Baptist Church (AABC) in the middle of '97, but since there's no '97 newsletter, we'll put this story here.

Joe had actually been going to Dallas Chinese Bible Church (DCBC) prior to Tina's arrival, but after experiencing a few Sunday schools with Pastor Morris, we were hooked on AABC.

Pastor Morris, the worship and young adult pastor, has a heart to get others on fire for God.  He's got wonderful   visionary skills and goes to great lengths to develop the young adult ministry.  He's also got natural "shepherding" skills and you can tell it by the impact that he's made with the people he hangs around with.

So, after about a year in Dallas, Tina and Joe have found a new church home at AABC.  They started serving on the worship team, with Tina at the piano and Joe playing the guitar.  And after about a year, they joined as members.
