After taking a
"7 Habits of Highly Effective People" class at work, Joe decides to make a
mission statement. He sums up his life statement as:
"I want to leave with a legacy as someone who genuinely cared for
people and was a good and faithful servant of Christ."
Some principles to his life statement are:
Turn from selfish to selfless - Phil 2 (Christ's humility)
- Love your neighbor as yourself
- Become a servant to all
- Keep relationships
- Be there for people
- Don't talk behind people's backs
- Be on time
- Praise the positives and don't dwell on the negatives
- Seek first to understand before being understood
- Be proactive
Have faith in God
Be content in what you have, because what you have is pretty good (I.e. money is
not the solution)
Be honest - as honesty is best policy
Keep your sense of humor
Choose personal life over work
