Joe’s Vow to Tina

Tina, I stand before you before you today, honored and excited as I am about to become your husband... finally! I thank the Lord for bringing us together, and for keeping us together. The past few years have been amazing, Tina.

Just getting to know you and spending time with you. I cherish each and every moment, and I am so blessed with the gift of spending the rest of my life with you. Today, I have come to commit my love to you.

I promise to strive to love you as Christ has loved the church.  I promise to cherish you in times of joy and despair, to care for you when you are sick and in health, to hope with you now and forever, to protect you and not to harm you, to love you and to forsake all others.

Although "being in love" is a great feeling, I promise to love you even if the feelings of love go away. Before our friends and family, before you, and before my Lord and Savior, I commit these promises to you.

Tina's Vow to Joe

Joe, when I first met you, you stood out from the crowd. And the more I got to know you, you became more and more special to me. I love your sense of humor, your kindness, your spirit of bringing laughter into everyone’s heart. But most important of all, I thank you for all the love and happiness you have given me throughout the past four years.

I had prayed to find someone who shares the same faith, values, and who loves me for who I am. God answered my prayer when I met you, and He also made me the luckiest girl when you asked me out. As I stand before God, you, our families, and friends today, I feel extremely honored and blessed to become your wife. I promise to be faithful always, to care for you in loving devotion, to share all my joy with you, to grieve with you in sorrow, and to never take you for granted, for now and forever more.

As we strive to live in harmony and humility, I pray that we will always search for God’s will in our lives, and trust Him for whatever circumstances He has in store for us.
