Cheninfo Newsletter 2001

Merry Christmas from the Chen household! And a big "Ruff Ruff" from our new addition.

We made the biggest purchase of our lives with a condo at the beginning of the year. Joe got his private space in the den and Tina decorated the rest of the condo with ideas taken from IKEA. And best of all, we still have one spare room for all of you who wish to come and visit California (just don't all come at the same time). See Condo for some pictures.

In the spring, we visited Taiwan (Tina's old home country). Joe got to meet Tina's relatives there as well as Tina's  homeroom teachers and classmates in grade school. Joe had 20oz pearl tea everyday and Tina ate so much junk food from the street that she had to buy a whole new wardrobe after she came back to the US.  Take a look at http://www.cheninfo.com/taiwan for some highlights of the trip.

The biggest change for year 2001 is the addition of our baby Brownie. It's a funny story how we got her, but Tina is deeply convinced that God has placed the perfect puppy at the perfect time and place. Brownie is the love of Tina's life (whether Tina loves Brownie or Joe more is debatable now).

Brownie's one lucky puppy. She's flown with us to different places, got herself accepted in a puppy daycare at Planet Pooch ( http://www.planetpooch.com  where Mommy and Daddy can watch her on the webcam), hiked many trails including the famous Yosemite and the infamous Missions Peak, and finally had suffered through two surgeries (one for getting spayed and another for a broken leg)... all in her short 7 months of life. Brownie writes her own monthly journals at http://www.cheninfo.com/brownie if you'd like to get to know her.

Anyway, we send you our warmest greetings and wish all of you the merriest Christmas and happiest New Year.

Love,
   Joe, Tina and
